BUILDING HOPE SUMMIT COUNTY: BRANDING + PHOTO ESSAYS + BANNERS

Building Hope was launched in 2016, after a rash of suicides in Summit County. Among those was Patti Casey, a beloved longtime resident of Breckenridge. The Casey family created the Patti Casey Memorial Fund to provide initial funding to launch Building Hope along with community organizer Gini Bradley and The Summit Foundation and to honor Patti and prevent the loss of others. In 2016 - 2017, I worked with Gini and The Summit Foundation to create Building Hope’s brand and photograph the first five stories for theiir “Faces of Hope,” project. The Faces of Hope Project shares the stories of Summit County locals and families who have journeyed through their own or a family member’s struggles with mental health. It was created from the based belief that sharing courageously about the reality of mental health has the power to heal, connect and transform.
